Welcome to VIBUG

VIBUG is the Visually Impaired and Blind User Group, serving blind and visually impaired computer users in Massachusetts. Membership costs $20 per year per person. Click here for more info on joining VIBUG. If you'd like to receive announcements of interest to blind and visually impaired computer users, click here to join the VIBUG mailing list.

VIBUG meets on the second Saturday of every month, except July, August, and December. The next meeting of VIBUG will be held on Saturday, October 11, from 1:00 P.M. To 4:00 P.M., at National Braille Press, 88 St. Stephens Street, Boston.

This is our annual meeting, and despite the disruption that occurred because we did not have a September meeting, a nominating committee of Ed Gilbert, Jim Walsh, and Tim Cumings is prepared to submit a slate of recommended candidates for the offices of President, Vice-president, Clerk, Treasurer, and Webmaster. If you are interested in running for office or in nominating someone, please be sure to come to the meeting prepared to do so. If you are a member and want to participate via our chat conference utility, please notify me by Thursday, October 9, so that I can send you the appropriate credentials for logging in. Remember that this is limited to members and will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.

In addition to our business meeting and question and answer period, Ricky Enger from Serotek Corporation will demonstrate how to access content from the System Access Mobil Network and how to transfer content onto the Victor Reader Stream.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email at president@vibug.org or leave a message in the VIBUG mailbox at (617) 266-6160, ext. 48.
