When getting off the inbound bus heading towards Boston

When you get off the bus, turn right and walk forward. On your right, in quick succession will be a tree, 2 metal poles, and a curb cut. Cross Mass. Avenue, the wide street at the curb cut at the walk light, which has an audible pedestrian signal. After crossing Mass. Avenue, cross the sidewalk to the steps.

When getting off the outbound bus heading away from Boston

When you get off the bus, you'll be facing the building where we meet. To reach the door, turn right and then walk forward while bearing left until you reach the steps.

From street level at 77 Massachusetts Avenue

Find the steps going up. They are very wide. Halfway across is the only railing that comes down to street level. If you walk up the steps with the railing on your left, you will be close to the building entrance door. At the top of the steps, walk forward several paces and then walk across a mat. If you stay to the right of the mat you will be lined up with the door, which is quite narrow.

The door will automatically open in to the building as you approach it. It's similar to an old-style supermarket door with a thick mat in front of it.

When you enter the building, you will be in Lobby 7. You'll hear that it's a large room with hard surfaces. Lobby 7 is the best place to get directions if you need them. Lobby 7 is a busy place, so there should be a lot of people to ask.

From the building entrance door, walk several paces forward and take your first right. As you walk to the hallway, a large round column should be on your left.

As you enter the Building 5 hallway, walk over the threshold on the the floor. You will cross over a second threshold before you reach Room 134. As you walk along the hallway, you'll hear one gap on the left and two gaps on the right, including a stairwell.

The doorway to Room 134 is on the left. All of the rooms on the hallway are labeled in Braille. For Room 134, the Braille tag is on the wall to the right of the doorway at shoulder height.

As you enter the room, the seating will be on your right and the presenters will be on your left. Welcome to VIBUG!
