VIBUG MEETING MINUTES

Date of Meeting: December 10 2022

Time 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

WHERE: Virtually

Following introductions, the following announcements were made. Frank announced that we have an incoming treasurer.

Nina announced that our annual holiday party will be nexst month at the Corrib Pub in West Roxbury on the second Saturday in January from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. It is at 2030 Center Street in West Roxbury. People will pay for their own lunch. The announcement will go out soon, and menus will be sent out.

Jeanette noted that we will not create Braille menus this year unless someone with no online access wishes to come. Once we have clarified with Frank Ventura, President, our current policy around Covid issues, the announcement will go out. We will not accept reservations after the date stated in the announcement because we need to give a final count to the restaurant so they can arrange wait staff. We do not anticipate that we will have issues with staffing, based on our past experience.

Jeanette and John talked about the technology event at the Carroll Center. We donated candy which did attract people to our table. We also donated a $20.00 gifvt card to Amazon to be drawn for all of the people who signed up to be contacted about how to join our announce list and how to become members and be placed on our membership list. Michelle from Easter Seals won and my understanding is that one of the people who came did become a member, as confirmed by an email I was sent.

Following technology questions and answers, David Kingsbury talked about his progress in learning how to edit video recordings.

Cindy Wentz talked to us about a recent experience she had with purchasing a new WASHING MACHINE and how accessible it was for her.

Kelsey Nicolay talked to us about her experiences with the Apple SE22 smart-phone.

Following these demonstrations, the meeting was adjourned at 3:15 p.m.

Respectfully submitted, Jeanette Kutash, Vibug Clerk
