VIBUG MEETING MINUTES

Date of Meeting: June 10, 2023

The meeting was called to order by President Frank Ventura at 1:05 p.m. Following introductions, these announcements were made.,/p>

Frank announced The NFB and ACB conferences are coming up shortly. Pay attention to emails about these as a lot of the AT manufacturers run specials. They are definitely worth checking out if people are looking at big ticket items.

Jeanette Kutash, Clerk, reported minutes should be caught up soon.

John Smith, treasurer, reported we have 38 dues-paying members at this time. You can go to the VIBUG website to pay dues; you may also check with John Smith or Margaret Gaffney, Vice President, if you do not know if you have paid dues.

Frank reported we have VIBUG elections in November. If anyone is interested in chairing the nominating committee, please contact Jeanette Kutash or Frank Ventura.

Jeanette announced that the Hable is going to have a new platform which will allow people to get more information about the device, particularly once it is updated.

Amy Bower announced that is a webinar series going on called "Disrupting Abelism". It is being sponsored by the national accademies of Science, so it is about careers, education and stem disciplines. It is free.

Sharon Strzalkowski announced that AIRA now has a feature which allows you to share your screen with an agent.

Don Breda demonstrated the NLS Bard Amazon skill.

Maria Rueters demonstrated the Blind Shell phone.

After all presentations, the meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
