The Minutes were read and accepted.
<Made changes to the nominating committee. The president will start asking VIBUG members if they are interested in serving by April in the hopes that we have volunteers in place by May. If not, the VIBUG officers will meet and make sure there is a nominating committee in place by the end of June. The reason why the bylaws committee wants to make this change is because recently, the nominating committee has not been formed until the summer. The other change will be that the annual meeting will be held in November with elections instead of the annual meeting taking place in October. The bylaws committee will insure that it is clear that new officers will begin in January.
David did not have anything to report but reminded everyone that if they would like to demo something, to let him know.
The nominating Committee’s recommendations for officers are:
Jerry was elected as president. Frank was elected as vice president. Milissa Garside was elected as clerk. Bob Resnick was elected as treasurer. Lastly, Tim was elected as webmaster.
Carroll Tech fair on November 22nd. VIBUG is looking for a member to represent VIBUG at the fair in the morning. Contact Jerry if interested.
Recently, the officers had a call to discuss purchasing our own TeamTalk server because the one we are currently using will not be available for our use much longer. The officers decided to pay $50.00 a year for our own TeamTalk server.
Holiday Party will take place on the second Saturday in January (Jan. 14, 2017.) at the Corib Pub which is located at 2030 Center Street, West Roxbury, Ma 02132 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Suggestions were having the VIBUG meeting from 1:00 to 3:00 and the last hour for additional help or presentations. The second suggestion was to have a 15 minute break in the middle of the meeting. After weighing the pros and cons of both suggestions, it was decided that we will leave the meeting format as it always has been.
OrCam is a very small camera that attaches onto a pair of glasses and is able to recognize faces and read printed materials.
