The meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by Vice President Frank Ventura. Following introductions, the following announcements were made.
We are increasing our membership. We have two email lists, an announcement list and a VIBUG support list, which is a two-way communication list between members. If you feel you should be on a list that you are not, please contact us so that we may assist you in resolving any issues of this type.
Bob Resnick reported our account balance as of today is over 8,000. Exact figures will be documented in future minutes. At http://www.vibug.org there is a button to pay dues Dues can be paid via your credit card or through your PayPal account.
The minutes were read and approved as submitted.
The nominating committee reported that they recommend Jerry for President. Frank for Vice President, Jeanette for Clerk, Bob for Treasurer, and Tim for Webmaster.
There appears to be another beta version of 2018 of Jaws up on the website.
Frank provided an extensive tutorial on domain name servers, how they are supposed to work, what happens when they fail, and some of the steps domain owners need to go through to address problems and fix them after a failure.
Jeanette Kutash demonstrated the AIRA app, discussing a history of Aira, the parts of the app, how to use the google glasses once the app is open, and how to use the app through the phone.
David Kingsbury demonstrated the NVDA screen reader.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m .
